About Portuguese Bend
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.
Portuguese Bend Pony Club is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. We are part of the Camino Real Region.
Our club is incredibly lucky to have a beautiful facility overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a big jumping arena, a full-size dressage arena, a round pen, some cross-country obstacles and access to miles of spectacular trails.
Most club members either own or lease horses that live at the facility, but we also have members who live in the neighborhood and hack over for lessons and other activities.
Like most Pony Clubs, we have youth members who are 25 years old and under, and a Horsemasters group made up of adult riders.
Our club offers weekly lessons in jumping and dressage, usually held on Saturday mornings, as well as clinics, camps, and opportunities to compete at local shows and regional Pony Club rallies.
USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration.
Portuguese Bend Pony Club is part of the Camino Real Region.
